Digitales MV

Digitalization for people, regions and new opportunities

With the "Digitales MV" program, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern supports people, businesses, municipalities and initiatives in making meaningful use of digital opportunities in everyday life. The aim is to strengthen digital skills, build regional networks and make rural areas fit for the future.

It is not just about technology – above all, it is about connecting people, making knowledge accessible and creating new opportunities for collaboration, visibility and innovation.

As a partner of Makerport Stralsund – one of the six digitalization centers in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern – the digitalization guide (Digitalisierungslotsin) is based directly in the Project Bay coworking space in Lietzow: an open place for exchange, networking, events and shared learning in rural areas.

Digitalization as an opportunity for regional development

In rural areas, digitalization means far more than new tools or technology. It can help make regions more attractive, more visible and more future-proof in the long term.

On Rügen and in Vorpommern in particular, digital possibilities are opening up new opportunities for:

  • regional value creation
  • modern working models
  • visibility for small businesses
  • networking between business, tourism and community
  • attracting skilled workers and returnees
  • new forms of collaboration and innovation

Digital solutions can shorten distances, make knowledge more accessible and connect people – regardless of a company's location or size.

It's not about chasing every trend, but about using digital possibilities in a way that makes sense for your own region, your own business or your own idea.

Because strong regions emerge where people, ideas and networks come together – both offline and online.

Hi, I'm Maria

As the digitalization guide (Digitalisierungslotsin) for Rügen and Vorpommern, I support businesses, freelancers, associations, municipalities and initiatives with all questions around digitalization and digital visibility.

My goal is to make digital topics understandable, practical and easily accessible – especially for people and businesses in rural areas.

From social media, websites and AI to digital tools and community building, I help you find solutions that fit your everyday life or your project. It's not always about doing everything yourself – often it's about bringing together the right people, offers and skills in the region and developing suitable approaches together.

Between coworking, events, networking and project development, I work at the intersection of digitalization, community and regional development.
