Team accommodation on the Baltic Sea: four locations for teams compared
21 October 2026

Reading time: about 5 minutes.
The short version
- We have four curated locations on the Baltic coast in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Usedom Bay in Heringsdorf, Rügen Bay in Binz, Lietzow Bay on Rügen and Ahrenshoop Bay on the Fischland peninsula.
- For groups of more than 100 people, only Usedom works. For 20 people who need peace and quiet, Ahrenshoop is the better fit.
- Three of the four are within walking distance of a train station. For Ahrenshoop you need a bus or taxi from Ribnitz-Damgarten West.
- Always look at two numbers: how many people can sleep there and how many fit into one room at the same time.
If you search for a conference hotel on the Baltic Sea, you mostly find classic hotels with a banquet hall and a day-delegate rate. Our locations work a little differently. You work, sleep and eat in one place, and we put accommodation, professional meeting rooms, catering and, if you like, the programme into one offer with one contact person.
Usedom Bay in Heringsdorf: for large teams
Right in the imperial seaside resort, with the beach on the doorstep. Six meeting rooms with projector and whiteboards, plus a conservatory you can use as a coworking space and a terrace for sessions outdoors. If a large team splits into groups in the morning and comes back together in the afternoon, this is where it is easiest. In the evening: rooftop pool or sauna area.
- Accommodation for up to 100 people, largest workshop room up to 40
- Seebad Heringsdorf station a ten-minute walk away
- Phone booths in the coworking space, Wi-Fi throughout the house
Rügen Bay in Binz: the whole team in one meeting room
A hundred metres to the sandy beach of Prora. Chalets and apartments for eight to ten people, room for 60 in total. The workshop room also holds 60, so the whole team sits together. On the roof there is an additional meeting room with a view of the sea. For breaks, the chalk cliffs in Jasmund National Park and the Prora treetop walk are nearby.
- Accommodation and workshop room for up to 60 people
- Prora Nord station 500 metres away, 2 to 3.5 hours from Berlin or Hamburg
- Spa with indoor pool and sauna, restaurant in the house
Lietzow Bay on Rügen: for teams who want to sit around the campfire together in the evening
Our own house on the lagoon, with a coliving feel. There are single, double and group rooms, a shared kitchen and a barbecue area. The conference room looks out over the water, the coworking space is open around the clock. SUP and kayak cost nothing extra. If you want the team to stay together after the last session, this is the right place.
- Accommodation and workshop room for up to 40 people
- Lietzow station a four-minute walk away, 3 to 3.5 hours from Berlin
- Phone booths, projector, whiteboards and flipcharts
Ahrenshoop Bay: a small group behind the dunes
An artists' quarter on the Fischland peninsula, a five-minute walk to the beach. Rooms and suites, some with a terrace and sea view, sauna in the house. You work in the coworking space or outside in the garden. It suits leadership groups and small teams who want to spend two days on one question. There are plenty of galleries in the village, not much nightlife.
- Accommodation for up to 20 people
- Ribnitz-Damgarten West station, then bus or taxi
- Coworking with a terrace facing the Baltic Sea, working in the garden possible
Which location suits which team
You are around 20 people and want a retreat rather than a team night? Then Ahrenshoop. Up to 40 people who want lots of time together and keep an eye on the budget usually end up in Lietzow. If 60 people need to sit in one room, it is Rügen Bay. And anything bigger, or a programme with several groups at the same time, points to Usedom.
How to settle the goal, date and agenda beforehand is covered in our guide Planning a team offsite.
Frequently asked questions about meetings on the Baltic Sea
Which conference hotel on the Baltic Sea can be reached without a car?
From Lietzow Bay it is a four-minute walk to the station, from Usedom Bay ten. To Rügen Bay you walk 500 metres from Prora Nord. Only Ahrenshoop has no station of its own, there you continue by bus or taxi from Ribnitz-Damgarten West.
Is there a day-delegate rate?
No, we put together an individual offer for every team. It covers accommodation, rooms, catering and, if you want, activities. What it comes to per person depends on the season, room category and catering. That is why we do not quote a flat rate here.
When is the most relaxed time for a meeting on the Baltic Sea?
All four locations can be booked all year round. In March, April, September and October the villages are quieter and dates are easier to get. From September to early November the cranes rest in the Bodden lagoons near Ahrenshoop.
What can the team do besides the meeting?
We have collected the formats for each location, with group sizes and seasons. You will find them in our article on team building activities for your offsite.
