The best time for kitesurfing on Rügen is from April to October. In these months you'll get the most stable wind conditions and the warmest temperatures. Outside this period it gets cooler, but there are still good wind days – sometimes even storms.
Sylt is one of the most wind-reliable spots in Germany. Thanks to its location in the North Sea you get: constant wind, stronger conditions than on the Baltic Sea, perfect prerequisites for kitesurfing, wingfoiling and surfing. For flat water: wind from west to north-east. For waves: wind from north to south.
